Welcome back readers, it's that time again for my regular season predictions! Now, last week Brad and I both predicted the upset for the Chimera vs. 3D match, and failed. We didn't fail miserably, because it was close match. We were for the most part on the money, except for DOA Female and CSS. Last match, we saw Coolsvilla continue her phenomenal winning streak which, left many (including myself) awestruck. Now if Chappelle could get some of whatever Coolsvilla is on, then I'm confident that the 3D.NY will be infallible during playoffs and even the world finals.

In related news, Complexity has continued to hit rock bottom. They are still, looking disparately for their first win. I'll spare you the "What's Wrong With Complexity" article, but I will say that Jason Lake knowingly took a risk and unfortunately, everything that could have gone wrong, has. Their best chance for a win was against Optx. Optx has the statistically worst CSS team which was one of Complexity's few strong points. I suppose there's no use crying over spilled milk, but Complexity has two very tough matches ahead and that 0-12 record is looming overhead.

Unfortunately, Brad will not be joining me for the rest of my predictions. He is headed to a month long Star Trek convention, which he attends yearly in his skimpy trademark "Uhura" costume. (See right.) Okay, that was a joke, he is really spending his time preparing for his trip to L.A.. You will be seeing a bunch of new content chronicling his time spent there, and I wish him a safe and enjoyable trip!

Chicago Chimera vs. Dallas Venom

Chicago is tied for fourth with Carolina so the rest of the season's matches are crucial for their playoff chances. It's possible for either team to lose their match and STILL make it into playoffs however that would require the other franchise to lose its next match as well. So it's not out of the realm of possibility to see these to franchises to head into a point battle for 4th place. Chimera is gunning for a big win, if they do indeed go into a point battle it will be tough to come out on top because Carolina already has the point advantage. Will Chicago Chimera upset the Dallas Venom? Will Master's winning streak be over due to the return of last year's king? I'll try to answer those questions and more.

On the outside it he is taking a nap, but on the inside
he's devising a plan to topple Master...

Chimera's CSS team has been inconsistent. I don't know how many times I can say that without sounding trite, but it's true. Granted, last match they were facing the statistically top CSS team in the league. The Chimera guys need to have been practicing hard, and examining Venom's play closely in order to pull out some big points. The Dallas Venom has a very strong CSS team. On a good day, they are the best in the league but that's not to say they don't have their hiccups. This is a tough match to predict because I'm positive both teams will be bringing their 'A' Game. The Venom squad comes from a state where everything is big, so expect them to bring home the big points.

Master is still the DOA king this season and it doesn't look as if he will be defeated any time soon. BlackMamba has shown signs of his former self but he has not had any formidable opponents to prove that he is really the Mamba we once knew. This will be the deciding match up. It will either make or break Mamba as well as the franchise. He needs to at least put up some points to keep the franchise match close is Chimera has any chances of making the playoffs. Will BlackMamba do the impossible? I certainly hope so, it would make for a great story and great T.V. Unfortunately I must go with the numbers on this one and play it safe. As for KasumiChan, I wouldn't expect a win. I wouldn't be surprised if the match came down to a few points but with KC's lack luster performances lately, I wouldn't expect much.

This match-up is not looking good for Chimera's DOA divisions. The master-phoenix combo will prove devastating for Chimera, as the all knowing mIRC 8ball tells:

Chimera-s[CGS]Portland> !8ball Will Chimera's DOA divisions upset Dallas?
ChanServ> Chimera-s[CGS]Portland: No.
Chimera-s[CGS]Portland> okay, thanks.
Chimera-s[CGS]Portland> !8ball Do you care to elaborate?
ChanServ> Chimera-s[CGS]Portland: Not on your life.
Chimera-s[CGS]Portland> alright awesome..

As for FIFA, I think it's safe to say Chimera has got that in the bag. If Chimera has any hopes of reaching the playoffs and possibly even winning the Franchise match, Eafra needs to come up big. Although, I don't know how you can really "come up big" in FIFA. So I guess a 3-4 point spread would be a nice goal (Get it???) for Chicago. Forza is where Chicago needs to come up big as well. Usually predicting Forza is like predicting the flip of a coin or rather, the flip of a car. But this one will go to the boys in purple.

CSS: Dallas Venom > Chicago Chimera [11-7]

DOA-Male: Dallas Venom > Chicago Chimera [5-3]

DOA-Female: Dallas Venom > Chicago Chimera [5-2]

Forza: Chicago Chimera > Dallas Venom [6-1]

FIFA: Chicago Chimera > Dallas Venom [2-1]

Franchise Score: Dallas Venom > Chicago Chimera [23-20]
